Gasping and whistling Western sounds the museal train "Rebenbummler" has been trundling along the world-famous vineyards of the Kaiserstuhl region for more than 30 years, every year from May until October. |
The museal railway at the Kaiserstuhl is one of only a few railroad lines
in Germany where up to this very day those original vehicles are running
which have already been employed ab initio in the time table of the
Kaiserstuhl train founded in 1895 by the SEG - the oldest waggons are from 1904.
There are "experience tours", "rambles" and "connoisseur tours" or rides like the "asparagus express" or rides into the "golden autumn days" taking place regurlarly and which are ideal opportunities to enjoy the scenic beauty and the culinary offerings of the Kaiserstuhl - either alone, in company or with the whole family. Furthermore, we offer extra tours individually arranged according to your suggestions (with steam engine and railcar) for society or club celebrations, family or company parties, jubilees and weddings. Depending on the size of the event we are able to offer up to 222 seats and are also able to take care of the catering.

From representative sparkling wine and wine receptions as well as delicious sausage, cheese and cake buffets, "wine tasting on wheels" and open-air picnics, to fresh baked pretzels and diverse snacks - with the "Rebenbummler" museal train (nearly) everything is possible.
